During Hispanic Heritage Month 2024, we’re honoring the diversity that makes us great. ¡Avanzamos juntos!
What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you? Is it a time for reflecting on your own history? Or an opportunity to celebrate with traditional foods? Or a way to spotlight values that shape your everyday life?
For Grace Camacho, store manager at Store 940 in Westworth Village, Texas, this month is about celebrating all the great contributions that Hispanics and Latinos have made. “We are represented everywhere, in the arts, sports, government positions and, of course, Walmart,” she says.
Grace believes that being Latina is “being part of diversity. It means having passion and pride for everything we do. We have pride in who we are, our countries, our history and what we represent. We are the seasoning of the world!”
“I’m from Puerto Rico, and definitely the way I was raised impacted this way I lead as a store manager. I have passion for everything I do at the store — from touring and walking around the store, to how I lead our daily meetings and how we do the Walmart cheer!” Grace says.
“Thanks to Walmart, I’m able to celebrate and honor not only Hispanic culture but thousands of cultures every day.”
